Magic

Today was such a magical day in some ways. One blessed by kismet of some kind.
I was making dinner and blasting the Weakerthans song "One Great City", the chorus of which is "I hate Winnipeg" [which I sure don't, check the irony of this great tune] when Cathy Hunter [of Winnipeg] called, right then. This has happened to us before and I love it: CONNECTION!
There were other such moments, and aside from falling and cracking my head on glare ice on the Millennium Trail [aslo kind of ironic, although funnier if it had happened ON the morn of the Millennium, naturally], it's been a magical day. For the record, my skull is fine and I think they invented bagged frozen peas for klutzy intrepid walkers like me...
I have also been listening to "I Came Awake" by the Great Lake Swimmers and honestly, I think it is my anthem for this move to Prince Edward County. What a year! What awakenings.
I have such a strong intuition about 2008, can't pin it down but it seems like it'll be a BIG year for so many people I love.
A big dump of snow to kick it off: may we all find ourselves skating round a fire pit for Janus-Fest.
I'm writing a lot which means limited sleep but a deep sense of happiness. I love making food but I missed my imaginary friends, too:)
Happy new year: best to you and yours. Health, spiritual wealth and loads of laughter. 2007 was huge for us all I gather, and here we are.

Resolutions are great but action is better.
