Marnie Woodrow is the author of two short fiction collections: Why We Close Our Eyes When We Kiss, and In The Spice House, and one novel, Spelling Mississippi, a love story set in pre-Katrina New Orleans.
At present, Marnie is completing her second novel and is hip-deep in the joy of creating and pitching two very different television series. She also works as a freelance editor, content writer and project manager for select agencies. Oh, and then there's the cooking...
Her short fiction, humour, poetry, essays and travel pieces have appeared in newspapers and magazines across Canada including Toronto Life, The Globe and Mail, National Post, The Ottawa Citizen, County Grapevine Magazine, CV2, Queen Street Quarterly and many others.
A freelance writer and well-regarded story editor and writing coach, she was also the proud recipient of anExcellence In Teaching Prize at University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
